How many years have you been in the industry?
I have been working in real estate for four years now.
What would you say are the core elements of your brand?
At the core of our brand is having a team that understands our customers and can cater to their needs. So, while most know us as the team specialising in lifestyle and premium properties, we are also very successful in selling residential, development and investment properties.
What is your most standout milestone in your career?
Having built a market share of over 50% in my targeted area (farm area), and having been awarded the Number 1 Agent and Team for my office (AT Realty) for the first quarter of 2022.
What is something that sets your brand apart from other branches/agents?
Our relationships. A key reason we have been successful is because of the time we put into building and maintaining relationships.
What has been your biggest career lesson?
I’m always learning, but the one that sticks with me is never letting the achievement of a goal or target appear too big or unachievable. A quote I have always remembered was “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
What would you say is the most important attribute that helped you progress your career?
My drive and work ethic. My parents were extremely hard working and we all worked in the family businesses from a young age. I take pride in what I do and never rest on my laurels.
What has been the most influential homes.co.nz marketing tool in helping progress your business?
There are two actually, the Suburb Expert tool, as well as the advertising tile on Facebook. These have both been great.
What’s a piece of professional advice that has stuck with you?
Listen more, talk less.
What do you do to switch off and take a break?
I love what I do, so I tend to not ‘switch off’. However, my wife has convinced me to take some time off and travel.
What are the next steps you/your brand want to take?
Growth. We’re looking to keep building the team, so that we can offer our premium services in more areas.
